~ Introduction & Band History  ~

[ Introduction ]

Haha... this is a very brief introduction till I think of more stuffs to write =p

Ok, first let's start with what is Due le quartz? Well the name comes from part french, part english. Due le means two in french and quartz means crystal in english. Literal translation will be 'Two Crystal'.. haha but well if you listen carefully to the 2nd song of the first album, Mei Kyou Shi Sui, you will find the 'Two Crystal' in the song. But, there is more to that. The clues are thrown around in the song and make a guess for the meaning of the band ^^ (By the way, the song is singing about the view/reflection of a lady)

Getting to the members, the vocalist is Sakito, Miyabi plays the guitar. Kazuki plays the drum and Kikasa is the bassist. (who is who? see the banner below, I've matched them accordingly. ^^)

Band motto seems to be "Reaching to all the wandering(astray) lambs who escaped from reality". So their fanclub event are usually(so far) called "Sheeps' gathering".

And what else? Ohh.. they concentrate their activities in these areas, Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, in particular The Area (Tokyo) and Brand New (Osaka).

[ Band History ~ from beginning to 01.01.2000]

May 99 With the live at Shibuya DESO, former guitarist, Mae quit the band due to musical difference
Jun 99 As the activities lined up were many, they held an audition for a guitarist. This audition was based on capability, looks etc. And thus the present guitarist was chosen and he joined the band formally.
This time they move more widely and start the live activities steadily in only 4 months.
Aug 99 Held tour in Tokyo, it's outskirts and Osaka
Nov 99 First mini-album, Mikansei no Jekyll to Hyde, was released and it was sold out in less than one month! The 2nd press of the same album was release rapidly and it was also a sold out.
Dec 99 They focused on more in-store events in the Tokyo and Osaka.

[ Why this page was formed?]

Because... the webmaster is crazy over Miyabi!!.. hehe just kidding.. well.. snoopy just thinks that they're one of the coolest band around... this becomes true after I saw their image in Jisatsu Ganbou... see the picture below

And their music are nice too. Well it isn't exactly like what most indies will sound like... but that makes it special too isn't it? But for my case, I preferring listening to music with less noisy sound.. not the whole music is 'noise'.. how do I explain this.. (bands like cali=gari, Vella Donna are not my type) Actually their music are a bit weird and they don't usually follow the normal music convention. And of course I think this band has one of the best guitarist (well so far I've seen.. ^^") The playing style is cool and the sounds produced are good. That gives both watching and listening a pleasant effect. Perhaps, one of their disadvantages is the vocals.. hee maybe you'll have to listen to it for yourself...

Attitudes wise, so far, I find that they're quite good to their fans, which I think the fans do appreciate that. Their friendliness and humour makes me like them better too...

But one thing I don't like about is that sometimes when an indies band gets too popular, everything becomes too common... it isn't as exciting as it used to.. but if it's not popular, it gets bored too... arrhh this is better not mention.. (*headache* ^-^;)
